CHALLENGE

• Due to being located on the beach, on the seafront and the complex layout of the stage, a rigorous dimensioning process was required due to the effect of the wind;
• The base support structure was based on the sand and, as such, load distribution systems had to be implemented;
• The structure had to be reinforced in order to withstand the loads arising from by the lighting and sound equipment and infrastructure.

SOLUTION

Founded in 2012, RFM SOMNII is a music festival organised by the radio station RFM and is now regarded as the world’s greatest ever electronic music sunset.

RFM SOMNII has been held at Relogio Beach in Figueira da Foz since 2013.

The ADAPT and Alusta systems were chosen for the stage due to their specific modular characteristics.

The stage is modern and interactive with abundant light and LED screens. Therefore, the structure needed to be reinforced in order to withstand the loads arising from the light and sound equipment.

The base structure of the stage was based on the sand and required the implementation of load distribution systems.

Relógio Beach is renowned for being windy and this factor demanded a rigorous calculation and dimensioning of the structure.
